Abstract:
After a spate of losses since 2000, Piaggio recorded its first net profit in 2004. Under Roberto Colaninno, who took over as the Chairman in October 2003, Piaggio implemented radical cost cutting measures, and along with the introduction of new products, the company was able to mark a recovery in almost all its markets across the globe.
